Strawberry Galette With Masa De Nata

  • 1 round of dough (½ batch) Ana’s All Purpose Sweet Dough
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1-2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 egg, whisked

Preparation

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    Place the strawberries, sugar and cornstarch in a medium bowl and mix to combine.

  • Step 3

    On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into a 10 inch circle about a ¼ inch thick. Carefully transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Leaving a 1 ½ inch border, fill the center of the dough with strawberries.

  • Step 4

    Fold the edges of the dough in over the strawberries. Brush the rim with egg wash.

  • Step 5

    Bake until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling, about 20-25 minutes. Let cool before serving.
